Honest

Posted by ImSold on 9/22/2009

I took my car to them for a second opinion after I had gone to another local small business. I didn't tell them who I had gone to, I just told them what I was told my car needed. When Lew called me later that day, he advised that I didn't need any of what I was told. The only thing he recommended was basic maintenance! I couldn't believe it! Now that's HONESTY! I highly recommend this service center!

horrible!

Timonium Auto Specialists lied to me about my car! I took my car with a damaged area to them for quoting. On Sunday, I went and looked and saw my car sitting in the parking lot the same way I had brought it in 4 days before. On the next day (Monday) at 7 am, I called and called and they picked up at 8 and I told them to not touch my car and that I was going to just tow it away and pay them for storing it there and the quote. They said "ok we will keep the car until you come tow it today in the afternoon." So I go there in the afternoon and I see they have taken off the damaged piece and now it's not moving. They wanted me to pay extra for having worked on it when I had said don't! Liars!! I removed my car from their lot and am never going there again!

Honest and polite

I've been going to Timonium Auto for years and was recommended by a friend who has also been using their service for years. Their prices are comparable with other auto repair facilities. I've never been up-sold on any parts or services I didn't need. On more than one occasion, they have squeezed me in when I had an emergency, e.g. parts falling off, broken window in winter. Mostly, I appreciate the fact that every employee has always spoken to me with the utmost courtesy. Unlike the dealership up the street, they do not treat me like a senseless, blonde bimbo.

Bad, very bad business

Everytime I take my 02 toyota in, they ALWAYS call and "sell"me something. Cant i just get an oil change or minor work without something always being wrong (I never knew I had any of these problems) Parts seem outrageously priced. I have compared to other places and they are always the highest. This place was convenient because of train, but it just isn't worth it anymore. Theres another place one stop up I will give a try. Tyres? Tires? Auto. Staff here is not so friendly. Getting worse everytime I went. I have noticed some staffing changes and I think this hurts their credibility. what happened to the friendly $10 oil change? long gone. Be careful
